WAS HE JEWISH?
This is a very sad time for Joann and I. Robert Schiller, a close friend and business partner, passed away on Thursday August 9, 2007 at 10:30AM as a result of problems stemming from what should have been routine heart surgery. The saddest fact is that Robert was recently engaged to Gail Kagan. Gail's children, Hayley & David, adored Robert and he was never happier than when he was spending time with them. In spite of the fact that he never smiled for his photos, he was at his happiest in all the years we have been friends. Robert hosted Quizzo for me and as far as I am concerned, he was one of the best Quizzomaster in the city. His brilliant, funny, whimsical, unrelenting questions, shout outs and the infamous "Internet Joke Of The Week" were appreciated and encouraged (WAS HE JEWISH!!) by a crowd who came to play even when I couldn't get a soul in Rembrandt's for dinner. Quizzo was always well attended when Robert was performing. He will be sorely missed by many.
